Refugio Amazonas & Posada Amazonas Lodges located in the Tambopata National Reservea in Peru, managed by Rainforest Expeditions announced that as of May 1, 2013 Posada Amazonas and Refugio Amazonas lodges will have superior rooms and will be available as follows:
Refugio Amazonas: 24 standard rooms + 8 superior rooms
Posada Amazonas: 24 standard rooms + 6 superior rooms
Superior rooms will have full painting, doors at the entrance of the room and bathroom, electric light and outlets (during the hours in which the generator is turned on) and decoration according to the environment.
In addition, since 2013, following SERNANP regulations – All passengers entering Refugio Amazonas lodge must pay U.S. $ .13.00 for admission to the Tambopata National Reserve. If the passenger also visits TRC only one payment of U.S. $ .60.00 should be made.
Finally, your passengers will have the opportunity to visit Tambopata Research Center on a 4 days / 3 nights program, thanks to the changes made to maximize passengers stay at TRC. Now they will only stay the first night at Refugio Amazonas, and enjoy the rest of nights at Tambopata Research Center. On the departure they will return directly from TRC to the city, so passengers are requested to book outbound flights starting at 1.00 pm.
