Day 01 Departure from your home town to Lima
On arrival into Lima where you will walk across the street to the Ramada Costa Del Oro Airport Hotel.

Day 02 Lima / Puno (B)
Walk across the street to the Lima Airport and check-in for your in-country domestic flight from Lima to Puno. On arrival into Puno, meet and greet transfer to your hotel.

Day 3 Puno (B, L )
Morning tour begins with a boat ride on Lake Titicaca to visit the Uros Island and Taquile Island on Lake Titicaca. This full day excursion will take you to the highest navigable lake in the world to visit the floating islands of the Uros Indians. Local legend has it that these "Lords of the Lake" had black blood because they did not feel the cold of the lake. Your journey by boat continues to Taquile where a native community of about 400 families still lives with the traditions of the XIV century that respect the principals of an Incan way life. Taquile is a very important site on Lake Titikaka for its a archeological emains, the sacred and ceremonial sites, the festive activities, their rituals and for the daily life of the inhabitants which is dedicated to farming, textile production and fishing.

Day 04 Puno / Cusco (B, L)
Early morning departure to the Puno coach transportation center to board a First Class Tourist coach to Cusco. During your trip to you will pass by Huacarpay Lake, offering spectacular views of the mountains reflected in its calm waters. Then to the Town of Andahuaylillas, and visit the Church of San Pedro de Andahuaylillas, Raqchi archeological center, Sicuani town, La Rapya pass and Pukara museum. Motorcoach services include professional bi-lingual guide, guided tour to Andahuaylillas, Raqchi, La Raya and Pukara Museum, buffet lunch in Sicuani Village, entrance fee to the different sites, hostess service with hot and cold beverage service and on coach bathrooms. Full day Tour of Sacred Valley
Morning departure for a drive through the fertile countryside to the colonial village of Pisac. During your visit to the bustling marketplace you will have the opportunity to bargain with the natives for many different types of Peruvian handicrafts and jewelry. After lunch the tour continues to the village of Ollantaytambo for a visit to its impressive Inca fortress. (L) (9h.)

Day 06 Sacred Valley / Moray, Maras Salt Pools and Authentic Quechua Village (B,L)
Morning excursion to the Inca agricultural experimental center of Moray, famous for its sunken amphitheater, made up of four circular terraces, which appear to disappear into the earth like an artificial crater. The site was apparently an Inca agricultural research station designed for experimenting with crops at various altitudes (some of which run down to depths of 100 meters). It is believed that the terraces, built over containing walls filled with fertile earth and watered by complex irrigation systems, enabled the Incas to grow more than 250 plant species. Continue to the impressive Maras salt pools formed by water emerging from a lake inside a mountain in the Urubamba Valley. An amazing view of evaporating ponds for the extraction of salt. Learn about ancestral techniques, which are still used, in agricultural, irrigation and salt-recollection tasks, as well as in Andean festivals and rites. After lunch, visit an authentic Quechua Village to feel the way of life of the Inca's ancestors. The Inca himself was a noble Quechua. They live off the land and are always wearing their
colorful ponchos, see Quechua children scamper about while woman are weaving their family's clothes. (L) (9h)

Day 07 Sacred Valley / Machu Picchu
Morning Vistadome train ride through the sacred valley of Urubamba to the "Lost City of the Incas," Machu Picchu (Train departs Ollantaytambo station at 07:05hrs). Perched 8,200 feet above the valley, it was hidden by mountains and semi-tropical jungles for 400 years until discovered by Hiram Bingham of Yale University in 1911. Archaeologists believe that the Inca "Virgins of the Sun" took refuge from the Spanish Conquistadors here. Guided tour of the ruins upon arrival. Lunch is at the Orient Express’ Sanctuary Lodge located just a few steps from the Inca citadel.

Day 08 Aguas Calientes / Machu Picchu / Cusco
Early morning breakfast at the hotel and then make our way to the bus station for the ride up to Machu Picchu (30 min). You have some free time to explore the site on your own or climb to Wayna Picchu (optional). Afternoon return by bus to Aguas Calientes then over to the train station for the afternoon departure. The train takes you to Ollantaytambo (1½ hrs), where a private vehicle awaits to take us to Cusco (1 ½ hrs). Upon arrival in Cusco (approximately 7-8pm) you will be dropped off at your hotel.

Day 09 Cusco (B)
Morning guided walking tour of Cusco includes walking around the city of Cusco the ancient capital of the Inca Empire, visitors are easily caught up in the excitement of this city. The tour includes a visit to the Cathedral and Santo Domingo Church, passing through the city's main streets and the Plaza de Armas. You will walk through some of Cusco's most astonishing streets to reach the San Blas Church. (2h 1/2.) This afternoon visit Sacsayhuaman fortress, an imposing example of Inca military architecture. It was built using colossal limestone blocks using a variety of interlocking shapes. The estimated weight of some stones is over 120 tons. Visitors are still wondering how it was constructed. Other archaeological sites included in the tour are the Incan military lookout point of Puca-Pucara and the Sanctuaries of Kenko and Tambomachay. (2h)

Day 10 Cusco / Puerto Maldonado / Amazonica Lodge (B,L,D)
Morning transfer to the Cusco Airport for a flight to Puerto Maldonado. On arrival meet and greet and transfer to the boarding wharf for your journey to the Amazonica lodge. Begin to experience the enchantment of the rainforest, as you take the 45-minute boat ride along the Madre de Dios River,to arrive at Amazonica lodge. After a short briefing, settle into your beautiful cabaña and enjoy your lunch in the dining room.Take a siesta, share a refreshing tea time and get ready for the afternoon excursion.
On arrival at the lodge, you will gather with your local staff and choose from the 14 different excursions available at the lodge. On your first day, we
recommend a guided walk along the Trail system, into the Amazonica natural area,where you will discover the Amazon Basin.This trail offers an excellent
introduction to the forest environment, winding past impressive trees such as the staggeringly tall kapok,and the strangely beautiful strangler fig, offering excellent opportunities for birdwatching and observing exotic insects. We also recommend on the first night our Twilight River excursion-a guided afternoon boat ride on the Madre de Dios river.Witness the transformation from a diurnal to a nocturnal world: animals and birds of the daytime give way to species specially adapted to the night. As you enjoy their paradise, you will learn about their habits, while you search for night jars, owls, capybaras and up to three different caiman species.
Enjoy dinner served in the main dining room from 7:30p.m. to 9:30p.m. After dinner, you may retire early to your own cabaña,or share your experience of life in the rainforest with other guests and interpreters, as you listen to the intriguing sounds of the jungle at night. Dinner starts at 7:30p.m.
Day 11 Amazonica Lodge (B,L,D)
Rest in bed or rise early—the choice is yours.Breakfast begins at 5:30a.m., for those who want to avoid the heat and enjoy nature at its fullest. A full buffet breakfast is served from 5:30a.m.to 9:30a.m.This morning you may visit the Lake Sandoval excursion into the Tambopata National Reserve. Glide in a wooden canoe,across a beautiful, mirror-like oxbow lake that is home to the endangered giant river otter,as well as red howler monkeys, red-bellied macaws, anacondas, side-neckturtles and black caimans. Return to the Inkaterra lodge for lunch. After lunch, consider the remarkable Canopy Walkway. Ascending the first tower, 29 meters above the forest ground, you begin your encounter with the treetop realm. For more than a quarter of a mile, you will literally walk through the rainforest canopy on a suspension bridge network linking eight observation platforms. During this hour-and-a-half expedition, be on the lookout for colorful toucans, woodpeckers, trogons, monkeys, and sloths. If you wish you may extend your excursion and appreciate the sunset from one of the towers.The excursion finishes by returning to the lodge. Once at the lodge, enjoy the daily nature presentation in the Ecomedia Center. Dinner starts at 7:30p.m.
Day 12 Amazonica Lodge (B,L,D)
Enjoy a trip to Gamitana Creek, located 25 minutes by boat from the Inkaterra lodge. For one and a half hours, explore the rainforest along the bank sofa winding,dark-water creek that is home to many piranha, caiman, turtles and birds, until the Sanipanga landing point. Navigate your way back downstream, appreciating the abundant flora and fauna along the way.You will return to Gamitana Farm to do a short guided tour to see how local farmers raise fruits and vegetables.Return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, enjoy the Native Experience excursion, located 25 minutes by boat from the lodge. Visit an indigenous South eastern Amazon family, where you will learn about their customs, traditional daily living, basic hunting skills, farming and food preparation. You will also have the opportunity to produce banana flour that the local communities consume. Return to the lodge to enjoy lunch.
Then consider the Rainforest by Night excursion through the Ecological Reserve at night for an approximately 2-hour excursion. Biological activity differs greatly between night and day in the Amazonian ecosystem. Venture into the forest and experience the mystery of the animal activity that awakens in the rainforest afterdark, enhancing animal resources to create new adaptation mechanisms.Listen to nocturnal forest sounds and spot species that only emerge at night.Return to the lodge.
Day 13 Puerto Maldonado / Lima (B)
Enjoy a full breakfast before departure. A 45-minute return trip by boat on the Madre de Dios River takes you to Puerto Maldonado, where you may visit Butterfly House. Peru boasts the greatest variety of butterflies in the world, with 3,700 known species. Many of these can be seen at the Butterfly House, a showcase for the variety,beauty and adaptability of these fascinating insects. Transfer to the Airport for an afternoon flight to Lima. End of services.
