Lima and Machu Picchu 8-Days/7-Nights

Your Classic Peruvian Vacation Package adventure begins when you arrive into Lima and explore the City of the Kings.  Then your adventure continue continues to Cuzco followed by   excursions  into the Sacred Valley.  You package will include 2-days visiting the highlight of your trip, the citadel of Machu Picchu where you will have a guided tour of the Ruins and if you are in good hiking condition, consider a hike up Huayna Picchu.  This vacation package is perfect for families, active couples, honeymooners and multi-generation family groups looking for a rich historical cultural experience of the Inca empire..  Carefully designed to help you acclimate to the high altitude of Cuzco, you will spend a day touring the city and ruins before exploring the Sacred Valley.    Recently, restrictions have placed on the number of people who can visit Machu Picchu to 2,500 people daily.  While these new restrictions are great for the preservation of the ruins, they may cause some difficulties in your ability to visit them, so we recommend booking with plenty of notice.  Your package is fully customized and some of the day excursions can be either "shared" or "privately" guided day excursions. Your day excursions are led by local guides at each destination. All Tours are private unless stated as a shared option.

Peru TravelPOINTS can make your airline reservations to fly from your hometown to your destination.  We will set up all the intra-country flights in Peru to coordinate with your international arrival and departure. The site was apparently an Inca agricultural research station designed for experimenting with crops at various altitudes (some of which run down to depths of 100 meters). It is believed that the terraces, built over containing walls filled with fertile earth and watered by complex irrigation systems, enabled the Incas to grow more than 250 plant species. Continue to the impressive Maras salt pools formed by water emerging from a lake inside a mountain in the Urubamba Valley. An amazing view of evaporating ponds for the extraction of salt. Learn about ancestral techniques, which are still used, in agricultural, irrigation and salt-recollection tasks, as well as in Andean festivals and rites. After lunch, visit an authentic Quechua Village to feel the way of life of the Inca's ancestors. The Inca himself was a noble Quechua. They live off the land and are always wearing their colorful ponchos, see Quechua children scamper about while woman are weaving their family's clothes.
